Key Functions of this role include:

• Operate drill rig under supervision
• Supervision of drilling crew
• Assist with the planning of drilling operation
• Ensure relative constant circulation of mud
•  Take preventative action when mud circulation rate changes or mud pit level increases
• Run or assist in running special tools into the hole such as; logging, testing & fishing
  tools, core barrel and down hole motors
• Compile safety audits, daily drilling reports, bottom hole assembly and kill sheets
• Conduct drills: BOP prevention, fire, stretched and flow checks
• Apply for appropriate work permits

Role has a range of requirements including:  Holds a Certificate III in Drilling Oil / Gas (onshore) or Certificate III in Well Servicing Operations,  Site-specific competency inductions plus range of certifications. More information provided in full job description – available on request
