SANAD would like to announce a new vacant position for (Rig Electrician). The candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience on same position (Land Rig experience only) with a high school degree or technical certificate.

The candidate skillset must include the theoretical knowledge and ‘hands-on’ experience of the operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of the following:
1- AC Power Generation and Control.
2- AC - DC power conversion and control – SCR knowledge for Oil Field applications.
3- Variable Frequency Drives – control and feedback.
4- Rig Operating Systems – (Cyber / Amphion).
5- Programmable Logic Controllers.
6- Rig Equipment – Top Drives, Automated Catwalks, Iron Roughnecks, Electronic Drilling Systems.
7- Instrumentation and Calibration.
8- Electrical Test equipment.
9- A sound mechanical knowledge for system interface.

In addition, he must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding and logical approach to fault diagnosis, using Electrical schematic drawings and respective test equipment.
