Leasehand
Description:
The Leasehand is the entry level position to the
Canadian drilling industry. This position is applicable only to the Company’s
Canadian division. The Leasehand works closely with the Rig Manager and the
Driller to ensure the efficient operation of the rig site. The position
requires a H2S certificate and a valid driver’s license with a good driving
record.

Floorhand
Description:
The Floorhand works the drill floor operating manual
tongs and pulling slips when tripping drill pipe in and out of the hole. The
Floorhand reports to the Motorhand and the Driller. The Floorhand assists in
various jobs around the drilling rig (e.g. pressure washing, hauling mud
products, etc.). The position requires a H2S certificate and workers are
required to be fit and able to lift heavy loads.

Motorhand
Description:
The Motorhand ensures that all equipment is operating
and functioning properly, performs repair work when capable and notifies the
Rig Manager of major repair work required. This position also assists the
Derrickhand and Driller on the drill floor while making trips. This position
requires a H2S certificate and mechanical aptitude.

Derrickhand
Description:
The Derrickhand is responsible for maintaining
circulation equipment while drilling. During tripping operations the
Derrickhand works above the rig floor at the monkey board. The Derrickhand
would have worked their way up through the drilling rig positions, have a good
knowledge all positions and will relieve the Driller once deemed competent.

Loader Operator - Field
Description:
The Loader Operator is responsible for coordinating
loading and unloading of freight, tubulars and equipment on a continuous basis.

Assistant Driller
Description:
The Assistant Driller will occasionally operate the
main controls on the drilling rig and assists in managing the crew on shift to
ensure they follow Company Policies and Procedures. The Assistant Driller reports
to the Driller and Rig Manager and communicates with the 3rd party services
contractors on the drill floor.

Description:
The Driller operates the main controls on the drilling
rig and manages the crew on shift to ensure they follow Company Policies and
Procedures. The Driller reports to the Rig Manager and communicates with the

Rig Manager
Description:
This individual will have worked their way from the
Floorhand position up through the ranks becoming familiar with equipment and
company procedures. The Rig Manager will have a minimum of 1 year Relief Rig
Manager (Driller/Relief) and two years of drilling experience. They must have
requisite computer skills and have all the necessary training for the position.
The Rig Manager possesses the ability to observe and train workers with
different background and abilities.
